Warranty

Lease Packet provides no warranty regarding access to any third-party websites or the behavior of third-party websites’ filters, firewalls, or other factors that may prevent you from using our IPv4 or IPv6 services with such third-party sites.

Usage

  • Lease Packet offers IP leasing services with the expectation that clients will not use our services in violation of our Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) and Terms of Service (ToS). Clients are responsible for adhering to applicable laws and third-party site policies.
  • Lease Packet is not responsible for issues that arise outside of our network or control while client services are active, including but not limited to: network issues, usage issues, accessibility issues, or blacklisting.
  • Lease Packet provides dedicated IP leasing subnets to clients. This means we provide a Letter of Authorization (LOA) allowing you and your ASN (network provider) to lease our IP addresses, provided you comply with our policies and make timely monthly payments. These IP addresses are exclusive to the client until services are canceled or terminated.
  • All use of web space and services provided by Lease Packet is subject to the terms and conditions outlined herein, including the Acceptable Use Policy. You may not attempt to expand or alter these rights or services by entering into multiple agreements.

Courtesy Services

Lease Packet provides additional add-on services at no extra cost to IP leasing customers, including Whois updates (SWIP), route objects, geolocation updates, and DNS delegation.

 Add-On Services

  • Whois updates can be requested through a support ticket. Changes are limited to fields such as name, company name, address, and ASN number. Valid information must be provided in full. A minimum subnet size of /24 is required.
  • Route object requests can be made through a support ticket and may take approximately 24 hours to propagate globally. A minimum subnet size of /24 is required.
  • DNS delegation is available for clients with minimum /24 size subnets. Clients must submit a support ticket with their nameservers.
  • Geolocation changes can be requested for subnets of /24 size or larger by submitting a support ticket with the desired city and country. These changes, made through geofeed pulled by select geodatabase providers, can take 3-7 days or longer depending on the provider. No warranty or guarantees are provided for geolocation updates.

Cancellations

Clients must cancel leased IP subnets before the first (1st) of the month via the cancellation option in their portal account. Clients must immediately drop announcements of canceled IP address subnets by the 1st of the month.

Fees

  • Lease Packet provides no refunds for IPv4 or IPv6 leasing, regardless of any external factors that may affect the client during usage. No pro-rated refunds are given for early cancellations.
  • Clients must pay in full by the seventh (7th) of each month. Failure to make full payment by the 7th will result in service termination without warning.
  • Lease Packet may suspend or terminate services immediately for any AUP violations, upon written notice (which may be provided by email). Efforts are made to resolve issues with clients before suspension or termination. However, Lease Packet reserves the right to act on a first offense and may charge fees for managing complaints related to AUP violations. A $20 fee per violation will be charged, with no exceptions. Clients who refuse to pay these fees may face service suspension.
