What is cPanel?

cPanel is a Linux-based graphical interface (GUI) that’s designed to make website and server management simple and accessible. With cPanel, you can effortlessly publish websites, manage domains, organize web files, create email accounts, and much more.

As one of the most widely used control panels in the United States, many web hosting companies include cPanel in their hosting packages. cPanel offers two interfaces: the user interface known as cPanel, and the server management interface known as Web Host Manager WHM

This powerful combination provides users with easy website management tools and hosting providers with server management capabilities.

Is cPanel Free?

Although cPanel is a third-party application and not free, it’s usually provided as part of hosting plans by most hosting providers without any additional charges. Some providers may offer cPanel for free during the first year but charge a fee in subsequent years.

However, in 2019, cPanel raised its prices, and as a result, many web hosting companies are now contemplating moving away from cPanel and adopting other website control panels.

Is cPanel Private?

Your cPanel account is private, but if you own a website, it’s essential to safeguard your login credentials to ensure the security of your website data and configurations.
